Huawei seeks to boost the development of ICT workers

Chinese firm Huawei reiterated that it will continue to promote initiatives to help young Mexicans develop their skills and knowledge in the area of ​​information and communications technology (ICT).

During his participation in the “Top Minds 2024” forum, Liu Jiude, the CEO of the company from the Asian giant, reaffirmed that the company is promoting this initiative so that workers can develop in this technological sector.

Zhou Tao, Head of Human Resources at Huawei Mexico, highlighted that through the Top Minds program, the company has identified 200 young people, who will be in training for the next 5 years.

According to the company, through this type of initiative it seeks to attract young people who are studying one of the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) courses, in order to later integrate them into its workforce.

The programs are focusing on the development of ICT workers, in particular, these incisive ones address key areas such as programming, cybersecurity and data analysis.

According to the technology firm, they are also seeking to close the gender gap in ICTs, that is, to increase the participation of women in this area.

“Specific programs are being implemented to close the gender gap and create more inclusive environments,” Huawei said.

He noted that this effort not only promotes diversity, but also encourages innovation in the sector.
