Huawei P50 series will arrive with Harmony OS and Android OS

We have already seen the breakthroughs made by Xiaomi towards the end of December 2020. The smartphone manufacturer that was spoiled by Lei Jun has introduced the Xiaomi Mi 11. Coming as a flagship smartphone, Mi 11 has been equipped with the Snapdragon 888 chipset.

After Xiaomi, iQOO doesn’t want to be left behind either. Earlier this year, iQOO officially introduced the iQOO 7, the flagship smartphone that is also powered by Snapdragon 888. Tomorrow, or January 14 to be precise, we will witness the launch of the flagship smartphone from Samsung, the Galaxy S21 series.

Of course, another flagship smartphone that fans of premium gadgets are also eagerly awaiting is the Huawei P50 series, which is expected to launch in the first half of this year. The next-generation P-series flagship should feature a better camera than its predecessors.

Meanwhile, from the performance sector, this smartphone is expected to be supported by the Kirin 9000 chipset. The latest information that is no less interesting is said that Huawei will market the Huawei P50 series in two variants of the operating system.

As revealed by Yash Raj Chaudhary (@hereYashRaj), who is known for leaking Huawei products, on Twitter he tweeted that the Huawei P50 and Huawei P50 Pro will be available for the global market in the Harmony OS and Android OS versions. Meanwhile, in China the smartphone will be shipped with Hongmeng OS.

It is not immediately clear whether users will be able to choose the operating system they want or whether a particular operating system will be available in one country and not another. Or there is also the possibility that both operating systems will be installed on the device and the user can switch between the two.

The leak shared by Yash Raj Chaudhary also revealed a screenshot showing the Huawei P50 Pro will have an OLED screen, Kirin 9000 chipset, 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. In addition, the smartphone is also said to have five cameras on the back and a punch-hole in the front.

Meanwhile, the Huawei P50 will have a choice of 6GB or 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage with UFS 3.0 technology. The chipset is not revealed, but there is speculation that Huawei might launch this smartphone with the Kirin 9000E chipset.

When exactly this smartphone will be launched is still mysterious. However, Huawei is likely to hold a global event before its flagship device is launched in China. However, it is likely that the P50 and P50 Pro will be sold in China first before being sold globally.
