SHENZHEN – Huawei’s flagship line next is a series Huawei P50 and new leaks from @OnLeaks gives us an overview of the first smartphone reportedly launched with Huawei’s internal operating system, HarmonyOS .
GSM Arena reported, the rendering of the Huawei P50 Pro has now been leaked. While the body of the handset looks quite conventional, what stands out is the camera complex. Also read: Huawei P50 will be the first to use a 1-inch Sony IMX800 sensor
The camera bulge has two large round glass lenses, but we can’t see what’s underneath. Although smartphone cameras are usually small in size, these twin glasses do hint at the greatness of Huawei’s upcoming flagship camera.
Huawei’s P Series usually features strong photography features. The Mate series focuses more on business features and productivity.
The mobile public also looks at the glass back and metal frame, which is fairly standard business. The top and bottom ends of the phone are flat and absent though jack headphone, we can see the IR-blaster at the top.
According to the report, the display on the front is a 6.6-inch wide panel with slightly curved edges and bezel very thin. As you can tell from the render, there is punch-hole in the middle for the camera selfie. This is a difference from the dual punch selfie camera off Huawei’s center.
–As for the rear camera, there is still no information about any sensors. It is estimated that each circular lens will accommodate one or more cameras and sensors inside. The P50 Pro is rumored to have a Sony IMX800 1 “with a resolution of 50 MP sensor that is made especially for smartphone.
Other speculations include an integrated fingerprint scanner and dual stereo speakers. Even though the camera bump design looks new and different, the overall design isn’t anything innovative.
–We’d expect to hear a lot of strong opinions for and against the camera design, but the cosmetic look doesn’t outweigh the actual camera performance. What is clear is that we are curious about what Huawei will launch.
