The newly presented Huawei P50 Pro has been tested by DxOMark for photographic possibilities. Does the latest Huawei flagship have the best camera among smartphones? The answer is not surprising.
We are after the premiere of Huawei P50 smartphones. The better of them, that is Huawei P50 Pro, has one of the best mobile cameras in the world on paper.
How is the reality? This will be shown by independent tests and comparisons, but on the day of the model’s debut, the controversial DxOMark platform took the floor.

DxOMark decided that Huawei P50 Pro is the best photo smartphone in the world. The new flagship of Huawei received record-breaking total of 144 pointsthanks to which it was slightly ahead of the current leader. It was Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra (and right behind it was Huawei Mate 40 Pro +).
For the photos alone, as fresh as the morning dew, the P50 Pro got 149 points, and for the zoom it seems that again a record 107 points. The low noise level, wide dynamic range and good detail (also in telephoto) were appreciated. The shallow depth of field or occasional autofocus errors in low light are delicately attached.
When it comes to video, according to DxOMark, Huawei is slightly behind Xiaomi (116 vs 117 points). Good white balance transition, satisfactory detail and effective stabilization were considered strong points. On the other hand, noises in textures in poorly lit films or occasional x-rays were rebuked.
