Huawei is getting ready to present its first collapsible smartphone in a clamshell format (the so-called ‘flip phone’). This will hit the market to compete directly with the Galaxy Z Flip 3.
Last week we saw the first images of the official smartphone design. This one is scheduled for presentation on the 23rd of December, and now its alleged specifications are online.
Huawei P50 Pocket is expected with Kirin 9000 processor without 5G support
As indicated by the MyDriers website, the smartphone will arrive with a 6.8″-inch interior screen and a 1″-inch circular exterior screen. But for now, no further details on resolution or refresh rate have been revealed.
The smartphone will be commanded by the Kirini 9000 processor. This has the particularity of not being equipped with 5G. According to the source, the terminal will have a 4100mAh battery, with a fast charge of 66W.
As mentioned, the main camera will have a 50 megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor. It will be accompanied by a 13MP ultrawide plus an 8MP telephoto lens with 3X optical zoom. However, the resolution of the front camera is not yet known.
It is important to note that the Huawei P50 Pocket is expected with a price below the Galaxy Z Flip 3. Which means that we will be able to count on a smartphone below the 1000 € barrier.
You should bear in mind that these are not the official specifications yet, and that these will only be confirmed during the presentation scheduled for December 23rd.
