The new product for 2024 saw high consumer demand even at the pre-order stage. The next update to the line retained the recognizable design of the device and added power to it by updating the hardware platform. Laptops of the MateBook series have long secured their status as convenient and versatile devices. We study what this year’s models offer customers.
The company traditionally offers devices of different performance so that the buyer can choose the optimal price-quality ratio. The new series offers configurations built on five 12th and 13th generation Intel processors, namely:
- Core i3 1215U;
- Core i5 12 450H;
- Core i5 13 420H;
- Core i7 13 700H;
- Core i9 13 900H.
There are also options with 8 or 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB or 1 TB of ROM, depending on the build.
The laptop is equipped with a 16-inch screen with Full HD resolution (1920 x 1200 px), 300 nits brightness, and full sRGB coverage. The display has thin frames, a matte finish and a classic 16:10 format. The hinge allows you to open the lid 180 degrees. The device is made in a metal case with a thickness of 11 mm, and the device weighs 1.7 kg. The frame has an integrated webcam for video calls with a resolution of 720p and support for AI technologies. There are functions that are responsible for noise reduction and voice amplification during a conversation. Two microphones and a pair of speakers are responsible for the sound. Biometric fingerprint protection is implemented: the scanner is built into the power button.
Interfaces for connecting peripherals are represented by the following ports:
- HDMI 1.4;
- DisplayPort;
- 2x USB-A (2.0 and 3.2 Gen 1);
- 1 x USB-C;
- 3.5 mm combo audio jack (two in one).
Wireless communication is carried out by Wi-Fi (802.11ax), Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC modules. Autonomy is provided by a Li-Po battery with a nominal capacity of 70 Wh. The package includes a 65W power adapter and a USB-C charging cable.
For everyday needs, study, work and multimedia entertainment, a configuration on Intel Core i5 12 450H will be sufficient. This build is also available without a pre-installed operating system.
