Huawei Mate X5: A Powerful Foldable Phone with Vertical Hinge and 5G Connectivity

KOMPAS.com – Huawei this month launched a number of new flagship phones, one of which is the Mate X5, which is a foldable phone.

Huawei Mate X5 is the second foldable cellphone from Huawei to have a vertical hinge. The screen folds and unfolds with movements like opening and closing a book, similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 5 from Samsung or the Oppo Find N2 which will be its competitor.

The difference, as compiled by KompasTekno from Android Central, Monday (11/9/2023), is that the Huawei Mate X5 is expected to be more powerful than the Mate X3.

Huawei did not specify what system-on-chip (SoC) is used in the Mate X5 product description page the.

However, it is strongly suspected that the SoC embedded in this cellphone is none other than the Kirin 9000 from Huawei itself.

The chip, which is made in China and supports 5G networks, is combined with 12 GB or 16 GB RAM, along with 512 GB internal storage media.

An NM memory card slot is provided for storage expansion.

The Mate X3 was previously known to use the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chip from Qualcomm. Another difference is in the Mate X5’s battery capacity, which is now larger, namely 5,060 mAh compared to 4,800 mAh on the Mate

The camera series is still the same as before, consisting of a 50 MP main camera (f/1.8, OIS), a 13 MP ultra wide camera (f/2.2), a 12 MP periscope telephoto camera (f/3.4, OIS, 5x optical zoom) and two front cameras, each with a resolution of 8 MP (f/2.4).

Huawei Mate X5 is available in Feather White, Feather Black, Feather Gold, Green Mountain Dai, and Phantom Purple colors.

The price has not yet been announced. There is only a pre-sale session with a deposit of 1,000 yuan (Rp. 2.1 million) to be paid in full on September 25.
