Huawei Mate X2 teaser confirms the shape of the cellphone fold

Jakarta, Selular.ID – Huawei has officially confirmed that it will release its folding cellphone Mate X2 on February 22. Ahead of launch time, Weibo is releasing a new teaser poster for the upcoming Mate X foldable phone, which offers hints that this phone will be different from the original Mate X design.

Huawei will indeed adopt the Samsung Galaxy Fold design. The poster is accompanied by Albert Einstein’s famous quote “Knowledge is limited, imagination covers the whole world”. There is also the words “Huawei Mate X2 in a new body” at the bottom, clearly pointing to the fact that consumers will see a new form factor.

Regarding the specifications, so far several leaks have revealed that the Mate X2 screen will have a maximum size of around 8 inches when opened. The large screen is capable of presenting a resolution of up to 2480 x 2222 pixels. When folded, there is an additional screen measuring about 6.4 inches.

The Huawei Mate X2 screen supports a 90Hz refresh rate. All thanks to the support of Samsung and BOE screen panels.

Regarding performance, the Huawei Mate X2 is likely to be powered by the 5nm Kirin 9000 5G chipset and reportedly will support charging for Android 10, 66W, and a 4,400mAh battery.

The Mate X2 will sport a 16MP selfie camera, with a 50MP main camera joined by 16MP, 12MP and 8MP units. The camera system will also offer 10 times optical zoom.
