Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The positive results obtained by the Mate 60 Pro make Huawei set high targets. The technology giant targets that the new cellphone can sell up to 40 million units by 2023.
The Securities Times report said Huawei increased shipments of its latest smartphones by 20% in the second semester. However Reuters said he did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the report, quoted on Wednesday (13/9/2023).
This achievement exceeded analyst Ming Chi Kuo’s predictions. He said the Mate 60 Pro could sell up to 12 million units within 1 year after its launch.
Meanwhile, its predecessor the Mate 50 Pro 4G sold 2.5 million units in 12 months. The Mate 40 Pro 5G, which was launched in 2020, sold 6 million units.

Huawei Mate 60 Pro
The Mate 60 Pro, which was released earlier this month, immediately sold out. It was reported that during the five-day pre-order period in China, the 5G cellphone immediately sold almost 1 million units.
In fact, Huawei’s physical stores and official website announced that the product would only be available again in mid-September.
This cellphone is Huawei’s entry point into the 5G cellphone market after being hit by sanctions from the United States (US) since 2019. The company seems to have proven that it can produce 5G devices without relying on technology from the US.
For information, the Mate 60 Pro has a 6.82 inch LTPO OLED screen with a resolution of 1212 x 2616 pixels. The screen also supports a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz.
There are three punch holes on the front to house the 13 MP (ultrawide) front camera, 3D ToF sensor and Face ID security feature.
For the back, three cameras are placed in a circular module. There is a 50MP main camera, accompanied by a 48MP telephoto and 12MP ultrawide.
One of the advantages that the Mate 60 Pro brings is that it can make satellite calls. Huawei offers four color choices, namely black, white, green and purple.
The Mate 60 Pro comes with 12 GB RAM and three storage options, namely 256GB, 512GB and 1TB. The price itself is priced at 6,999 yuan or Rp. 14.6 million.
