Bad news for Huawei. Indeed, the Chinese company has just lost its appeal in Sweden concerning the ban of Swedish operators to work with Huawei products for the deployment of 5G!
It is once again a blow to Huawei that the latest decision of the Supreme Administrative Court of Sweden. Indeed, it has just announced the verdict of inadmissibility concerning the complaint that the Chinese company had filed in relation to the decision of the Swedish regulator concerning the deployment of 5G.

In fact, still in the turmoil linked to a possible spying of its customers on behalf of the Chinese state, the Regulator of the Swedish Post and Telecoms (PTS) had demanded that the operators participating in the 5G auctions must comply with excluding any Huawei device on their network.
5G auction that was originally scheduled for November 2020, but had to be postponed following a court decision to suspend the application of some of the conditions pending a hearing on them.
With this decision taken by the Supreme Administrative Court of Sweden, PTS will therefore be able to resume auctions for the allocation of 5G licenses to the various Swedish operators.
A new auction session had been scheduled for January 19. Date that could be moved according to the judgment. This having been made this Friday, it will therefore be possible to continue.
For its part, as always, Huawei denies all the “rumors” concerning it and its involvement with any form of espionage and being in the pay of the Chinese government.
Despite this, many European states have decided to play the safety card by banning or strongly advising not to integrate the Chinese firm’s products into their network. This is to ensure that their data is not provided to the Republic of China.
