Huawei innovates by unveiling a triple foldable phone –

The Huawei Mate XT Design Ultimate may look like a normal phone, but it’s actually the world’s first tri-fold smartphone. Yes, that means it has three defined sections that are joined together using a Z-shaped folding mechanism, reminiscent of the dual-folding system found on more traditional foldables today.

According to The Vergethe main downside to this pretty crazy concept is that it’ll cost you a fortune to get your hands on one. The phone starts at around $2,800 for the base 256GB model, with the price then climbing to around $3,370 for the 1TB iteration. As for why we’re mentioning approximate pricing here, the only prices that have been revealed so far are in Chinese yuan, and any plans for a wider global release have yet to be confirmed.

What has been confirmed is that the phone will have an OLED display that measures 6.4 inches when folded and 10.2 inches when fully folded. And yes, it can be used in a partially folded state like a regular bi-fold device, to offer a 7.9-inch screen variant.
