Huawei has announced that construction has begun on a factory in France, the first of its kind outside of China. The plant in France is promised to produce up to one billion new devices annually and employ around 500 people. At the same time, there is also chatter about such self-evident but meaningless phrases like sustainability and ultramodern production facility.
It is not yet known what exactly Huawei is going to create in this European production facility, but it is assumed that it is about 5G technology, as well as electric car components. It is likely that Huawei will produce in Europe what Europe and the US specifically do not trust in the case of Huawei (for example, the same 5G already mentioned), in order to be able to show that Huawei has nothing to hide.
Huawei should hurry with this, as France has decided to force mobile operators to replace the manufacturer’s entire range of 5G technologies used for communications from 2028.
It is interesting that at the very beginning of 2021, Huawei themselves advertised the creation of this production plant, but in three years, that production plant has not yet been built. The actual plans for the European production plant have been in the air since 2019, at least that’s what Huawei himself previously stated.
