Huawei has just announced its newest mid-range smartphones, the HUAWEI nova 9 and nova 9 Pro. However, what you should know is that these two smartphones were first launched in China and until now Huawei has not said whether the nova 9 and 9 Pro will be sold outside China.
Even though it comes as a middle class, Huawei packs this smartphone in a very attractive way. How not, the HUAWEI nova 9 and nova 9 Pro carry an OLED screen. In addition, the two smartphones are also equipped with four cameras, with a 50 MP main camera.
For the kitchen runway, Huawei entrusts the Snapdragon 778G 4G. Yes! It’s a shame none of the devices offer 5G connectivity. The Pro model has a larger screen with dual 32MP front cameras, VC graphene cooling, and fast charging up to 100W via USB-C.
Other specifications are shared between the two such as the design. Both smartphones also run HarmonyOS2, the latest operating system developed by Huawei. The nova 9 comes with a 6.57-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. While the Pro goes up to a 6.72-inch panel.
The Non-Pro has a single 32 MP front camera loaded in a punch-hole. Meanwhile, the second 32 MP front camera of the Pro model is an ultra-wide lens that allows users to put more content into the shot. Both smartphones are equipped with an under-display fingerprint scanner.
On the back, both nova 9s have a 50 MP RYYB main sensor along with an 8vMP ultra-wide camera and two 2 MP modules for macro shooting and depth tracking. Huawei also emphasized that all existing cameras have been equipped with AI features to create higher quality photos or videos.
Then, what about the power supply department? Yes! There is a fairly substantial difference in terms of battery capacity and charging speed. Vanilla nova 9 is equipped with a 4,300 mAh battery with 66W charging. Meanwhile, the Pro model increases the capacity to 4,000 mAh and the charging speed to 100W.
The HUAWEI nova 9 and 9 Pro come in blue, purple, green and black and go on sale in China on September 29th. The nova 9 with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB ROM starts at CNY 2,699 (Rp 5.9 million) while the 8 GB/256 GB option will retail for CNY 2,999 (Rp 6.6 million).
For consumers who are attracted to the HUAWEI nova 9 Pro, the most basic models, namely 8 GB RAM and 128 GB ROM, will be sold for CNY 3,499 (Rp 7.7 million), while the higher models, namely 8 GB RAM and 256 GB ROM will be sold. for CNY 3,899 (Rp 8.6 million).
