Huawei Nova 8 series now has 5 members.
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SHENZHEN — Huawei announced smartphone series Nova 8i. Seri nova 8 Huawei so far covers four smartphone namely nova 8 5G, nova 8 Pro 4G, nova 8 Pro 5G and nova 8 SE. That number increased to five because Huawei added a new member to the nova 8 series line, namely the nova 8i.
Reported from GSMArena, Wednesday (7/7), the nova 8i features a 6.67-inch FullHD+ LCD which is touted as Edgeless Display by Huawei. The device is surrounded by 1.3mm bezels on the left and right, as well as a 1.35mm bezel on the top. The screen has a pill-shaped cutout in the upper left corner to house the 16MP selfie camera.
Panel Huawei nova 8i accommodates four cameras in a circular island. The setup consists of a 64MP main sensor unit, 8MP ultrawide, 2MP macro and 2MP depth sensors. Huawei says the back cover has 4D curvature that delivers precision-engineered rounded edges for an ultra-smooth touch.
The device is equipped with Snapdragon 662 SoC with 6GB/8GB RAM and 128GB storage. On the software front, users get Android 10 with EMUI 11.
The Nova 8i features a side-mounted fingerprint reader and a 4,300mAh battery, which it claims can go from flat to 60 percent in 17 minutes and fully charged in 38 minutes with the included 66W charger.
Huawei nova 81 comes in Silver, Interstellar Blue and Starry Black colors. This device is ready for pre-order in Malaysia in an 8GB/128GB configuration for 1,299 ringgit or around IDR 4.5 million.
