National Taiwan Normal University Ph.D. student Huang Minqian made her debut in the women’s 50-meter freestyle at the Universiade in Chengdu on the 6th. In the preliminaries, she swam 25.49 seconds to break the national record and advanced to the first place in the group. In the semi-finals, Huang Minqian swam 25.42 seconds, breaking the national record again, and advanced to the final on the 7th with the overall ranking of 6th.

Huang Minqian is the record holder of the women’s 50-meter freestyle in my country. In 2021, she set a record of 25.59 seconds in the Universiade. In the preliminaries, she broke the record of 25.49 seconds and advanced to the semi-finals first in the group.

In the semi-finals, she ranked in the 5th channel of Group 1. She swam 25.42 seconds and broke the national record again. She won the third place in the group and advanced to the final with the sixth overall ranking. This is her second time to enter the final of the World Universiade.
