The handball player has to learn to walk again! After his foot operation (edema in the ankle) in mid-June, the student (industrial engineering) returned to Leipzig at the end of September (27:27). After three games he was out again – the right foot again.
“Actually, I’m doing pretty well at the moment, my foot is also healing,” says Axmann, who has to brake himself. The pain point on his right foot that forced him to give up in the home game against Wetzlar was located.
Axmann reports: “At the fracture site there was again a small gap to be seen. It is now closed on the outside, but it still has to grow inside. I’ll have the next CT in a week and a half, after which I can hopefully start walking again. “
With a new style? “I have to do a run analysis. It is possible that I put the wrong weight on my foot while running, jumping and landing. Maybe I’m just unlucky with my foot or there is a weak point in me, ”explains Axmann, who has been prescribed insoles and is already wearing them. “They are supposed to relieve the bones and the surrounding tendons. I hope that everything will be fine now. “
