Two university employees are now using it to manufacture components for protective visors. -> <! – In the MakerSpace of the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences, a high-tech workshop that is normally well attended by students during the semester, there is currently ghostly emptiness. Only the head of MakerSpace Bruno Bak is there, he takes turns with his colleague Andreas Kascha, all other employees are in the home office. – Where else the babble of voices and rattling tools fill the room, you can only hear the soft whirring of the 3D printers that produce small plastic hangers. Temples that are currently important because they can be used to create face shields. – “We have been producing components for Prusa Protective Face Shield in MakerSpace for a week,” says Bruno Bak. The idea came from the #MakerVsVirus community, which brings together people and organizations who, on the one hand, urgently need equipment or spare parts in the current situation and, on the other hand, are able to produce quickly and cheaply. Inquiries for such components come from hospitals in the region, for example. – Prusa, a Czech company, enables the production of such protective visors through its open source face shields project by making the 3D print data available for download free of charge. “We hope that with our small production we can make a contribution to better protecting people who are exposed to the risk of infection every day,” says Bruno Bak. – Six 3D printers are currently used in the MakerSpace. Components for 40 privacy shields are produced in this way every day. – Every day all the news about the Corona crisis in your city – order our free newsletter “Total Lokal” with daily Corona special edition now! – – Related posts:US citizens are intimidated by recruiting for the war with Russia - 2024-03-15 22:25:24A young man is murdered in the parking lot of a BJ's store in Brooklyn | Videos | Univision 41 New...At the end of a breathtaking regatta, the New Zealanders take flight (video)Two Men Found Dead on Brooklyn Subway Tracks After 911 Call – NBC New YorkShare this:FacebookX Related The cancellation of the primaries in New York threatens to divide the Democratic Party | International First clear image of the large asteroid that will pass through Earth on Wednesday April 29 Leave a Comment Cancel replyCommentName Email Website Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment.
