Hradec Králové – In the 3rd round of the first league, the football players of Hradec Králové defeated Mlada Boleslav 2:1 at home, despite playing without the suspended Petr Juliš from the 21st minute. The guests took the lead after only 59 seconds thanks to an own goal by Filip Čihák. Adam Vlkanova equalized in the seventh minute, and in the 51st minute, Čihák corrected the hesitation from the beginning of the match with the winning goal. “Invaders” have six points and are fifth in the incomplete table. Central Bohemia lost for the second time in the season and remained on three points.

Mladoboleslav did not manage the warm-up for Thursday’s opening duel of the 3rd preliminary round of the Conference League, in which they will welcome the Israeli team Hapoel Beer Sheva. Hradec in the highest competition lost after three matches. The East Bohemians won at home in the league for the fourth time in a row, losing only one of the last 10 matches in the top competition at their stadium.
Mladá Boleslav earned their place in the cups thanks to the victory in the Conference League match against Hradec and, just like in the June duel at home, they took the lead early on. Kušej got free on the left side and his shot cross in front of the goal was knocked into his own net by Čihák. The Central Bohemians managed to open the scoring in the opening minute and took care of the fastest goal of the new league season.
But it was equalized in the seventh minute. Čmelík sent Mihálik behind the defense with a vertical shot, who found Vlkanova in the penalty area and the latter promptly finished off a handsome combination from a full run. The former Czech international, who missed the 0:1 defeat in Pilsen a week ago due to injury, scored in the second competitive match after his summer return to his parent club.
The scenario from the last match was repeated for the second time in the 21st minute. Juliš finished off Langhamer with a sharp slide on the ankle, and referee Zaoral, after consulting with the video referee and watching the replay, “upgraded” the original yellow card to a red one. “Votroci” also played in a weakened state in the Conference League match, Klíma was sent off in the 42nd minute.
The guests immediately put the home team under pressure and created one dangerous attack after another. Stránský had the best chance, but he was unable to direct the ball into the goal at the back post. Towards the end of the half, Hradec got back into the game and completed the turnaround in the 51st minute. Čihák jumped highest on Horák’s cross from a standard situation and this time hit the right net.
Soon, Ladro could have equalized from the break, but he shot inaccurately from the angle. The Central Bohemians increased the pressure again in the final half hour. In the 71st minute, Král had the equalizer on his head, hitting the crossbar after a corner kick. Not even Kostka succeeded from the air, and in the 80th minute, not even Buryán, whose header was scratched from close range by Zadražil with a brilliant “Robinsonade”.
The home goalkeeper also shone in the setup against Ladro’s shot from behind the goal. Mladoboleslav could not equalize and did not build on the previous league triumph of 3:0 over Slovácko and two victories in the preliminary round of the Conference League against Lithuanian Transinvest.

We scored an own goal in the first minute, but then we managed to equalize after a wonderful situation. I believed that we would get a kick out of it, but a short circuit came in the form of a red card. This is the red card, Juliš took the ball badly and then fouled. It was indiscipline, bullshit, but he is a young boy and his teammates pulled him out of the mud. We had in mind the game for Europe, in which we also went to ten .We pulled into the block, we were waiting for the opportunity that came from the set piece. As he entered the match badly, Boleslav reigned in both goals they didn’t let in any big chances, the boys did a great job thanks to the support of the fans. We believe that our home form will continue, the support from the stands gives us a lot of energy.”
David Holoubek (M. Boleslav): “Very unlucky for us. We had the whole match and the beginning of the match under our control, unfortunately we didn’t give many chances. Before the goal to make it 2:1, it was especially bad that we fouled, even though I got the foul in the context of the match as petty. We defended the set piece badly, which determined the nature of the match. When the opponent is still in the lead, it is very complicated. We were dominant throughout the match, even though it was logical when we played one more. The opponent defended well in the box, but we still created chances.
