5. HPV vaccination | Groups suitable for vaccination
Different vaccine products have their own specific indications and target groups. The human papillomavirus vaccine (HPV vaccine) is used to prevent lesions and cancers of the cervix, vulva, vagina and anus caused by a persistent HPV infection. People over the age of nine can already be vaccinated against human papillomavirus. Those who are eligible for vaccination should be vaccinated on time and according to schedule.
The following people are unsuitable for the HPV vaccine:
- Allergic reactions to vaccines (such as hives, stridor symptoms, etc.)
- Severely deficient immune system
- pregnant
- Severe reactions to previous vaccinations
Vaccines must be evaluated by a registered physician before they can be vaccinated. Medical staff will ask about the vaccinated person’s medical history and if they have ever had an allergic reaction to the vaccine and will assess their physical condition to decide whether to administer the vaccine or continue the vaccination.
