TRIBUNJATENG.COM, JEPARA – Elementary school (SD) students in Jepara Regency will undergo the HPV (Human Papillomavirus Vaccine) vaccination in September 2023.
This vaccination is intended as a preventive measure for cervical cancer or cervical cancer.
The Head of the Jepara District Health Office, Mudrikatun, said that last year his party had carried out activities to introduce HPV vaccination to elementary school students or the equivalent.
The target of female students who received an understanding regarding this vaccination was 9,996 children.
He said, the HPV vaccination was carried out in a series of School Child Immunization Month (BIAS) activities. The target of this vaccination, he said, is for grade V elementary school students or the equivalent for dose I and grade VI students or the equivalent for dose II.
“The target for class V is 10,134 students. The target for class VI is 9,545 students,” Mudrikatun said to tribunmuria.com, Thursday (10/8/2023).
The Kadinkes said the HPV vaccination was carried out after the training activities for immunization coordinators for health centers in Jepara Regency. And after several puskesmas in Jepara carried out re-accreditation.
He plans for this vaccine injection to take place in each school in the second week of September 2023 or next month. His party targets this vaccination to be completed in one week.
Mudrikatun asked the public to make sure their children get this HPV vaccination. Because this vaccine is very important to prevent cervical cancer. Parents of students also have to play a role so that vaccinations run smoothly.
