Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is predicted to be king flagship Latest android. This variant is also Samsung’s most touted compared to its two ‘brothers’, the regular Galaxy S23 and Plus.
The photography sector is one of the plus points on this cellphone. Fostering a 200MP main camera, Samsung seems to want to target photo and cinematography lovers.
The set price is enough to make your wallet anxious, starting from IDR 20 million for the 12GB/256GB model up to IDR 26 million for the 12GB/1TB model.

Kamera Galaxy S23 Ultra
In the ‘Galaxy Unpacked’ event, the discussion about the Galaxy S23 Ultra camera took the longest amount of time. The reason is, the most significant improvement from this cellphone lies in the camera that already uses the latest 200MP quality ISOCELL HP2 sensor. On the Galaxy S22 Ultra, Samsung ‘only’ provides the main camera with a 108MP quality sensor.
The main camera for the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is accompanied by a secondary camera with 12MP resolution (ultrawide)10MP (telephoto with optical zoom 10x), as well as 10MP (telephoto with optical zoom 3x).
When you want to capture moments, users can choose 12MP, 50MP, or 200MP camera resolution options. The Expert RAW application is also integrated in it. Thus, users can directly edit large photos without any compression process.
When taking photos during the day, the difference in the results of the 200MP and 50MP photos seen on the HP screen is not much different. Both feature more detailed image textures with richer color components.
If it’s only for social media purposes, actually a 12MP resolution is quite satisfying. First, this option provides a ‘Wide Mode’ setting to capture a wider view. There is also a 3x and 10x ‘Zoom’ feature if you want to take pictures remotely.
These two features are not available at 200MP and 50MP resolutions. Another consideration, 12MP resolution produces photos that are more memory efficient.
As an illustration, a photo taken by CNBC Indonesia with a resolution of 200MP takes up 44.35MB of memory. Meanwhile, the 50MP camera has 16.03MB of memory, and the 12MP only spends 3.68MB of memory.

For night photos, the Galaxy S23 Ultra camera claims to have the ability lowlight qualified by activating the ‘Night Mode’ feature. When tested, the photos look brighter but not pale. Colors remain rich, textures detailed, and noise much reduced. Photo processing with Night Mode takes about 1 second after being snapped.

Turning to video, the Galaxy S23 Ultra recording has a ‘Super Steady’ feature which helps stabilize the image. When used to record while walking, the results are quite stable, especially when set at 60fps FHD resolution.
Actually, video recording support on this cellphone can be up to 8k 30fps at a ratio of 9:16. However, the stability of the recording is noticeably reduced at the highest resolution.

The front camera of the Galaxy S23 Ultra now supports the Super HDR feature and 4k 60fps video recording. Previously, the Galaxy S22 Ultra only supported 4k 30fps video recording.
But to be honest, it’s hard to tell the difference between 4k 30fps and 60fps video recording, especially if you’re only viewing it on a cellphone screen. The video results are also less stable than the rear camera.
The plus point on the front camera of the Galaxy S23 Ultra lies in the Night Mode feature. When activated, retrieval selfie at night it looks sharper and brighter.
