The plan of MNC Group owner Hary Tanoesoedibjo to work on a competitor project to Disneyland and Universal Studios in Lido, West Java continues. The film and soap opera production center called Movieland which is being built by MNC is targeted to operate next year.
This was conveyed by the President Director of PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (MNCN) Noersing in Public Expose Live 2021, Tuesday (7/9/2021).
“Well, we target the Movieland facility to be completed, it will start to be used in 2022,” he said.
He explained that MNC has two production facilities in Jakarta, namely in Kebon Jeruk and Kebon Sirih. In total, MNC has 45 studios indoor and outdoor.
“This is more optimized for production than our programs by nature basic study, “ he said.
He continued, Movieland was built to strengthen the content production infrastructure. In particular, for production that is outdoor.
“This is usually what we will use later for the production of our soap operas or drama series, then also for films and other types of content that require production facilities. outdoor,” he said,
He added, Movieland will be equipped with a number of supporting facades, ranging from houses, hospitals, and so on.
“Later, we will equip Movieland with various facades to create various kinds of supporting environment which is very comprehensive, for example the house will be tiered, there are elite housing to housing in rural areas, there is also a hospital,” he said.
“The facades that we will adjust according to the needs rather than the creative concept of the previous production, namely the production of soap operas, films and various other types of content for production. outdoor,” he continued.
