The tournament gets underway the weekend after the Copa América final: starts on July 17 and ends on December 10. Before the end of this month the fixture will be known. The champion will qualify for the Copa Libertadores, which has 6 places for Argentina. The other quotas will be for Colón, as the champion of the LPF Cup, and the winner of the Argentine Cup. The rest will be obtained by the first three teams in the annual general table, which will include the points obtained in the group stage of the LPF Cup and the next tournament (total of 38 matches). Six other teams will go to the South American 2022: one is Banfield (winner of the second final of the Diego Maradona Cup against Vélez) and the other five will come out of the same general table.
Meanwhile, the pass market is already open and players can be incorporated until the Thursday before the start, that is, July 15. The market break date is June 30, when many contracts are terminated.
