By 1 January 2025, all agglomerations with more than 150,000 inhabitants must have implemented a restricted traffic zone. This provision of the climate law aims to ban polluting vehicles from entering the most populated urban areas.
ZFE, operating instructions?
What are the consequences for motorists, especially those of diesel vehicles? Will the conversion bonuses be enough? What are the results in the eight cities where the ZFEs are already active? Alain Anziani, socialist president of the Bordeaux Métropole : « The ZFE is a good thing. Air quality is an important element for health. In Bordeaux, six hundred people die every year due to pollution. It will be necessary to help affected motorists, as we believe this is a cause for concern ».
