HDR-X YouTube channel curators used a series of software to reconstruct the latest in HDR10 video gameplay di Demon’s Souls per PS. The purpose of the content creators is to “emulate” the visual experience that awaits us on PlayStation 5 by playing the blockbuster soulslike in HDR + or Dolby Vision.
To make the color palette and lighting seen in the already gorgeous Demon’s Souls gameplay from the PS5 Showcase even more vibrant, the guys at HDR-X used programs like Davinci Resolve in the hope, in doing so, to return images faithful to the most advanced standards of High Dynamic Range.
The video proposed by the youtubers is in 4K and manages to guarantee maximum graphic rendering only by viewing it on a monitor or TV that supports the latest HDR standards: it is however worth pointing out that this is a fan made experiment. The final and “official” version of Demon’s Souls, however, should employ similar techniques to broaden the range of colors perceived by the human eye e increase the dynamic range between dark and brightly lit areas.
