Of course, the film does not completely copy reality, however these are the facts that come with real life Queen group very different …
Familiarization of members
Picture of Bohemian Rhapsody shows Freddieho Mercuryho at the concert of the group Smile, how after the performance he timidly addresses Brian May with Roger Taylor and asks them to take him among themselves. The truth is, however, that Mercury met both Maya and Taylor in college and Mayem shared an apartment before joining the group.

Mercury and his disease
In the film, Freddie is diagnosed with HIV when he is going through the worst stage of depression. This diagnosis opens his eyes, returns to the group, changes his lifestyle and focuses on those who like him best. This mistake infuriated fans because it changes the meaning of his behavior. In fact, Freddie Mercury did not learn of his illness until April 1987, two years after the Live Aid show.
The story of Jim Hutton
After one of his unsettled parties, Freddie is interested in waiter Jim Hutton, who cleans up the mess after guests. The singing legend tries to seduce him, but the waiter rejects him, saying that he will be there for him only when he will respect himself more. Although it is undoubtedly a beautiful story, the reality was different. Jim Hutton was not a waiter, but a hairdresser and met Freddie at a nightclub. The truth is, however, that once Freddie found inner peace, he sought out Hutton, and he did stay with him until the very end.

How Freddie met Mary Austin
After Freddie meets Brian May and Roger Taylor after the performance of the band Smile, he also meets a beautiful blonde named Mary Austin. However, their meeting was a coincidence only on the screen. In reality, they only met when the group was formed, and Mary was originally Maya’s friend. Apparently, Mercury even asked Maye if she could even invite Mary Austin on a date.
How the group disintegrated
The filmmakers show us an event that never really happened. After Freddie was offered a $ 4 million contract to go on a solo career, the other members of the band got it wrong and their relationships began to crumble like houses of cards. In reality, however, the band never disbanded, and drummer Roger Taylor released two albums before Mercury’s first album, Mr. Bad Guy.
Live Aid
Bohemian Rhapsody wants to convince the audience that Mercury’s ambitions were due to the break-up of the band and that after realizing how much he missed the band members, he came to them with a request to return. In the film, everyone argues whether they should perform together after such a long break. But as mentioned, the band never really broke up, and a year before the Live Aid concert, Queen was on a string promoting the latest album, The Works.
Songs and time
The film is 1980 and Brian May teaches the other members the musical background for the song We Will Rock You. However, this song was released as early as 1977. The creators made the opposite mistake with the song Fat Bottomed Girls, which the band plays at a concert in the USA in 1975. However, this song was not heard live for the first time in 1978.
