Bavaria’s tourism boomed. Record year followed record year, also in Franconia. The next sales peak was in sight for 2020. Then the corona virus came from China. Since the middle of March, when travel restrictions came into force and many accommodations have ceased to operate, tourism in the Free State has plummeted.
