At the helm of the Var airport (Vinci Group) for a few months, Director Basma Jarbouai wants to increase the destination offer in order to recover its 500,000 annual passengers in 2023 (428,000 passengers in 2022).

The airport is connected to Paris, Brest, London, Bordeaux, Luxembourg and Corsica) with a potential capacity which, according to the Vinci Group, would be at least one million passengers.

Toulon airport is squeezed between its two big neighbours, Nice (12.2 million passengers) and Marseille (9.1 million passengers).

The Var airport is also aiming for activity throughout the year and no longer in summer as is currently the case.

Another avenue for the future is its goal of zero CO2 emissions. Thus, the airport refueller has made a commitment to the four airlines currently present at the airport (Transavia, Easyjet, Luxair and Air Corsica) for sustainable biofuels (SAF) produced from used cooking oils.
