Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – After maghrib later, the five planets namely Jupiter, Mercury, Venus, Uranus and Mars will be seen in alignment. This phenomenon can be witnessed throughout Indonesia, but there is a special note to be able to see it.
Research Center for Space Research at the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), Andi Prince explained that one way is to make sure the weather is sunny. In addition, there are no clouds in the sky tonight.
“For how to see it, make sure the weather in that place is really sunny, free of clouds. The evaporation rate of water vapor and humidity is quite low, so that few clouds form,” said Andi to CNBC IndonesiaTuesday (28/3/2023).
In addition, the viewing area must be free from light pollution. According to Andi, the ideal place to see this phenomenon is rural and inland areas with minimal lighting.
“Then the location is free from light pollution. Make sure the night sky must be really dark,” he explained.
“Indeed, those who have the potential to get the best visibility are only in rural or inland areas where the light source is very minimal,” he added.
Andi also provides tips on capturing this phenomenon with HP and DSLR cameras. For cell phone cameras, you can use panoramic mode or the zoom out feature 0.5 times-0.6 times.
Meanwhile, DSLR cameras can set a field of view of at least 60 degrees. It is also recommended to use a larger lens field of view.
“If it’s bigger than the field of view [field of view] the lens is even better. So let it not be too close to the edges of the image,” said Andi.
