Multiple Accounts is a feature that allows users to have two WhatsApp accounts on one device and one application.

“We provide the ability to log into two WhatsApp accounts simultaneously,” wrote WhatsApp’s statement.
Now, users don’t need to worry if two devices use different WhatsApp accounts.
According to WhatsApp, it can help users who have business accounts and personal accounts to be on one device.

To be able to use WhatsApp’s latest features, users need a second phone number, a SIM card or a device that supports multi-SIM or e-SIM.
You’ll also need a second phone or its SIM card to receive the one-time passcode that WhatsApp will send via SMS to gain access to your second account on another device.
“After this initial verification, the application will continue to work for both accounts without a second device or SIM,” said WhatsApp spokesperson Ellie Heatrick, quoted by The Verge.
After that, users can access WhatsApp settings, press the arrow next to the username and select “Add Account”.
Users can control privacy and notification settings on each account.
Advantages of Multiple Accounts
The Multiple Accounts feature can simplify device usage because users only need to carry one cellphone to operate two WhatsApp accounts.
Additionally, this feature offers the convenience of managing multiple accounts and continuous integration of personal chats, business and other messages in one application.
“This feature is useful for switching between accounts – for example a work account and a personal account – now you no longer need to log out every time, carry two cellphones, or worry about sending messages from the wrong place,” wrote Meta in its release.
The Multiple Accounts feature from WhatsApp can only be used on the official application.
