After a long wait, WhatsApp finally released features emoji reactions or emoji reactions for worldwide users. WhatsApp users in Indonesia can also use it to leave emoji in private or group chats.
The emoji reactions feature is already available on WhatsApp for Android and iOS. With this new feature, users can respond to private and group chats with the available emoji options and see the reactions they received by tapping on the emoji below the message.
To use the emoji reactions feature, users must first install the app WhatsApp latest version on the phone. Keep in mind that this feature is rolling out in stages, so some users who haven’t got it may not receive it in the next few days.
In addition to adding emoji reactions to WhatsApp chats, users can also change and delete the given emoji. Here are the steps as quoted from the WhatsApp blog, Monday (9/5/2022).
How to add emoji reactions on WhatsApp:
- Open the latest version of the WhatsApp application on your phone
- Tap and hold any message in the chat
- You will see a pop-up displaying six emojis to choose from: thumbs up, heart, crying face while laughing, face with wide mouth, crying face, and two hands clasped together.
- Choose an emoji to give your feedback
- The selected emoji reaction will appear at the bottom of the chat.
