“There are a number of conditions that must be met in order for a patient to be tested for the flu,” said the head of one of the Yekaterinburg clinics. – The most accurate diagnosis is a swab from the pharynx, nose, which is examined by PCR. But we only take swabs if the patient has flu-like symptoms and is not vaccinated. We also ask if a person has been in contact with people with flu, if his relatives are sick, if he has chronic diseases. Each doctor analyzes all factors and decides whether to test the patient for the flu.
