It is possible to distinguish flu from a cold by several symptoms at once, said the ambulance doctor Peter Davydov on the air of the TV channel “Russia 1”.
The doctor noted that, unlike a cold, with flu, the high temperature lasts for a long time and may not return to normal even when taking pills. Also, with the flu, red eyes, muscle aches, nosebleeds and “chest” cough are traced. At the same time, when a patient has a cold, the symptoms are slightly different, the expert notes.
“A person who has caught a cold has a sore throat, a hoarse voice, he suffers from headaches, lymph nodes may enlarge, nausea and cough appear,” Davydov said and added that the best protection against the disease is vaccination.
