REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA — WhatsApp recently launched a proxy function on Android, iOS and desktop. This feature allows users to access services through a proxy server, even if their Internet connection is blocked or interrupted.
WhatsApp tracker WABetaInfo says proxies can be useful in helping users access services that are difficult or impossible to reach due to government censorship. Here’s how to set up a Whatsapp proxy, as mentioned by the hindu business line, Monday (9/1/2023).
Step 1: Open the app Whatsapp and open the settings.
Step 2: Tap storage & data.
Step 3: Scroll down to select Proxy Settings.
Step 4: Enable the proxy and enter the address.
Step 5: Click to save, a green check mark will appear once the connection is set.
