MURIANEWS, Holy – Cell phones or mobile phones have many technology that helps users, internet access is one of them. Not only surfing in the palm of your hand, mobile phones can share their internet network to other devices with Wifi Tethering technology.

This method is fairly practical for users as a means of sharing internet connections via cellphones that can be activated on Android or iPhone users. But the use of hotspots will make the phone battery more wasteful and can affect the performance of the phone.

Quote from Kompas.com, there are several ways to overcome battery usage when the phone is used as a mobile hotspot.

When the mobile hotspot is on, the WiFi feature on the cellphone is a good idea to turn off. Wi-Fi that is continuously on will make the phone continue to search for networks, thus affecting the consumption of more battery power.

In addition to WiFI, the GPS feature that continues to turn on at the same time as the mobile hotspot will further drain the phone’s power. GPS that is constantly on on the phone will suck a lot of power because basically this feature is used to find out where we are.

The brightness or brightness factor on the cellphone screen also has a lot of influence on battery power consumption. The brighter the screen, the more wasteful the battery usage will be. On the other hand, as the screen gets dimmer, less power will be consumed.

Another factor that can affect battery power consumption that is rarely known is the presence of notifications. When turning on mobile tethering, it’s a good idea to turn off notifications from applications that have been installed on the phone or can be changed to “Do Not Disturb / Do Not Disturb” mode

Finally, mobile users can set the screen lock time or lockscreen. This is intended so that the phone can lock automatically in a short time when not in use. Locking your phone when not in use can maximize your phone’s battery power when you use it as a mobile hotspot.
