A new year means a new Galaxy phone, and you won’t have to wait long for the next one. Samsung has announced that its new slate of devices will be unveiled at Samsung Unpacked on February 1, and you can reserve them now if you’re particularly keen to upgrade.
Samsung has just launched its reservation page where you can reserve the next Galaxy smartphone, the next Galaxy Book laptop or both. Booking each product individually will get you $50 free Samsung credit to use at samsung.com, while booking both at once will get you $100. Note that making a reservation doesn’t lock you into a pre-order or require any payment information – you just put in your name and email so you’ll be notified as soon as new devices are available for purchase.
As for what’s to come, Samsung is almost certainly teasing the long-talked-about Galaxy S23 series. The “Book Now” image on Samsung’s website features three fancy camera lenses – a staple of Galaxy flagships – and a teaser video reads “designed for Moonlight”, hinting that upcoming phones could take even better photos in the dark. Also, we’re only speculating, but that blue tint in the video would make for a great phone color.
Like previous years, you should expect an S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra, with the latter likely costing over $1,000 and featuring the most premium cameras. The Galaxy S22+ is our current top Android phone pick, so we’re excited to see how the new model improves on Samsung’s cameras and overall design.
On the laptop side, we might be looking at the Galaxy Book 3 series. At the very least, we’re expecting an upgrade to the latest 13th Gen Intel Core processors, potentially larger screens, and a mix of traditional and convertible. We really liked last year’s Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360, although we found its range of pre-installed Samsung software to be a bit too much.
Samsung Unpacked kicks off February 1 at 1 p.m. ET, and we’ll cover all the big announcements as they happen. In the meantime, you can reserve the company’s new material – free of charge and without obligation – now.
