What is a repost on TikTok?
As a TikTok user, you can share the videos you like with your followers. As on Instagram or X (Twitter), the function Repost (or Republication, in French) of TikTok consists of publishing a video that has already been uploaded by another user. Unlike other platforms, reposting TikTok video content does not display it on your profile, but in the feed. For you users who follow you.
How to repost a video on TikTok
To repost a video and make it appear in the feed of your subscribers, here is the procedure to follow (see image of A) :
Go to the page For you from TikTok, only videos on this thread can be reposted, After selecting the video you want to share, tap the icon Share in the form of an arrow at the bottom right of your screen, In the pop-up menu that appears, choose the yellow icon Repost (or Repost).
On some videos, a button Repost is just above the video description. In this case, just press directly on it to replay it instantly. Your followers will be able to discover your reposts in their feed For youbut the videos will not appear on your profile.
In case of error, it is possible to quickly delete your repost. To do this :
Go back to the video reposted by mistake, Press the share button symbolized by an arrow, In the sharing menu that appears, press the button Supprimer la republication or Remove repost to undo the repost.
