How to report WhatsApp messages

WhatsApp is a mobile instant messaging application that we use daily. Through it we can contact our friends and family in a matter of seconds, as well as send videos and photos, create groups to talk to several people at the same time, make calls and video calls, among many other functions.

WhatsApp has a very well defined privacy policy that has been improving over time. Being an application that allows anyone who has your phone to contact you, it is possible that on some occasion you have received an unwanted message. Faced with this situation, WhatsApp has put the solution to report this type of behavior. We tell you how you can do it in the video.

It is true that the application already allowed users to report, to prevent them from sending you more messages, and even entire conversations, but the new function consists of reporting specific messages. To do this you must select the message you want to report and press the “report” option.

Pressing this button will bring up a dialog box for you to accept if you are sure you want to report the message and not do it intentionally. Another option will also appear that will allow you to block the user who sent you the message, so that you do not receive any more messages from him.

At the moment, this function is only available for WhatsApp users who have the beta function, that is, beta versions 2.21.20.1 of WhatsApp for Android and 2.21.190.12 for iOS. However, this feature could be coming to public versions of the app very soon.
