Find out how to use Remix Reels, the new Instagram feature
As always on Instagram, the steps you will need to follow in order to create this type of video are few, as it is a new and more intuitive tool. If this is your first time doing it make a Remix Reels, We leave you with the steps to follow:
First go to Instagram and click on the button that takes you to the Reels section.
When you are here, choose the reel you want to record your video with.
Now, click on the three dots you have in the video.
You will see a small window appear, in which you will have to select Create Remix Reel.
Once done, it’s time to start having fun by recording your video until you’re happy with the result, then post it to your Instagram.
How to activate and deactivate the new Remix Reels function
Just like on TikTok, Instagram has its own privacy tools. This means you may come across Reels that you can’t remix. This is because the user who created a video does not want anyone to be able to interact with him with this tool. And of course you can do the same, if you upload a Reel to your Instagram profile and don’t want to share its usage, we show you how to do it with the following steps:
- When on Instagram, go to Settings.
- Now click on the Privacy section and choose the Reels and Remix option.
- The only thing you will have to do is turn it off so that your videos cannot be used and that’s it.
Even if you have this feature turned off, you should know that the rest of users will be able to continue seeing your content as normal. Also, in case you have your own private account, you won’t have to disable the feature, as they won’t be able to remix with your Reel either.
