The Dominican Republic holds the general elections for the presidency of this country next Sunday, May 19, and residents living abroad, such as Dominicans in the tri-state area, have until the weekend to register and thus be able to exercise their right to vote.
More than 370,000 Dominicans who are in New York will be able to participate in the elections, but for this they have to be registered.
Those interested in voting only need their updated ID to register.
To obtain an ID for the first time, people have until this Saturday, January 20 at 7:00 pm to obtain it and will be automatically registered to vote from abroad.
If you already have the identification card, you have until Sunday, January 21 at 7:00 pm to register and vote.
