The goal of many is to understand how to best use the many applications that are now available in the stores, or in virtual app stores. To date, in fact, the smartphone has become vital and extremely necessary for daily chores.
Fully understanding how it works is therefore very important. Along with games and applications that deal with transport and delivery, the most downloaded are those of social interactions. Instagram, Facebook and all other social networks are obviously part of this category.
The phone memory
In recent years, however, the real great success has been achieved by the instant messaging application par excellence, or WhatsApp. There are many functions that can be discovered using it. Some of these turn out to be extremely useful and interesting. As much as they improve our quality of life, however, these programs do not affect the memory of our device.
Together with the actual weight that the app brings to the capacity that the smartphone can support, what occupies the memory reserves the most are the files that users who populate WhatsApp continually exchange.
By file we mean voice messages, but above all photos and videos. With a simple method, however, it will be possible to prevent the memory from being over-occupied.
So here’s how to prevent WhatsApp photos and videos from clogging your phone’s gallery.
The three dots of settings
To prevent every photo, every video and every GIF stay in the phone gallery, just change a setting directly within the application.
In fact, most of the files you send are convenient at the moment, such as notes or screenshots, but they are not worth keeping.
To do this, simply open WhatsApp and click on the three dots at the top right. Then by pressing on “Other settings” it will be possible to cancel the automatic saving of files in the gallery. There are even methods to apply a further selection and decide what to save and what to delete, as explained in this article.
In three simple steps, therefore, here’s how to prevent WhatsApp photos and videos from clogging the phone gallery.
