Social exclusion is the only way to prevent covid-19 from having similar effects in Portugal to more affected countries such as Spain, the United Kingdom or Italy, according to a study released today.
The “only variable in the equation” that can be changed is the rate of contact between people, in a model that compares the evolution of the disease with other European countries, say the authors of the Covid-19 Barometer, a partnership between the National Health School Public (ENSP) / Express.
The barometer is a research project that follows the evolution of the pandemic in Portugal and whose first results were released this Thursday.
