Also, many wonder what problems can arise along the way, especially after a Tesla travels hundreds of thousands of kilometers. The video below shows us a Model X registered in Slovakia that has covered almost 200,000 miles in the five years since it was purchased.
The battery of this Tesla Model X lost only 9.8% of its capacity in 5 years
The movie reveals a Tesla Model X 100D manufactured in 2017 with over 200,000 miles, which is approximately 321,870 kilometers. Surprisingly, we have to admit the car still looks great now and seems to have held up very well.
The American vehicle owner says that 65 to 80 percent of the charges were made at fast charging stations, either “Tesla Supercharger” or other such stations. Theoretically, this could mean that the battery deteriorates more and faster compared to standard ones. But, it is not like that at all.
Over time, this Tesla Model X’s battery has seen a 9.8% reduction in capacity. when it was new the battery was rated at a capacity net of 93.7 kWh. Now, five years away and many charge cycles the battery still retains about 85.4 kWh of its original capacity. Regarding the powertrain, it presents itself best, according to the owner.
This value is an impressive one. In addition, the owner of the Tesla electric SUV stated that a day before making this video, he tested the car on the famous Autobahn in Germany. He says he had no problems reaching the top speed of 250 km/h.
This Model X shows some small signs of wear. But, nothing out of the ordinary considering the age and mileage. The body is in good condition, and the interior upholstery is slightly creased. The only problem to call it major is that the leather covering the steering wheel has started to deteriorate.
