To get a bountiful cabbage harvest in the fall, experts say you need to water your garden every two weeks with an organic fertilizer made from yeast and old jam.
Preparation of concentrate and top dressing
To prepare a concentrate, 100 g of yeast and 300 ml of any old jam must be mixed in 10 liters of water and left indoors for a day to start fermentation.
To prepare top dressing, 250 ml of the concentrate must be dissolved in 10 liters of water. With this top dressing, experts advise watering cabbage every two weeks throughout the season after thoroughly moistening the soil.
