Whether through character interactions or their move sets, Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero makes sure to include little nods to the franchise that shook the planet wherever possible. Some of these fun references are hard to find, and one of the most obscure is Special Finishers. These are unique endings that recall specific moments from the franchise or character personalities.
Finding them naturally is quite unlikely. Through this gigantic listcompiled from 40 years of media, only three characters can activate a special finisher. The only mention of these can be found when scrolling through Whis’ Book of Stamps, but it can be a pain to go back and forth if you don’t remember them. In addition to the rewards you get from viewing them, one of the rarer achievements is tied to them. This guide goes over each one and explains the quickest way to unlock the associated achievement.
How to make a special finisher
If one of the three characters (Super Saiyan Goku, Master Roshi, or Super Saiyan 3 Goku) manages to finish a match with their Ultimate Blast, a special finishing animation will play. That means you’ll need to charge your Ki enough to enter the Sparks! state. and gain access to your Ultimate Explosion technique.
There are no other requirements, such as using them against a particular character or in a certain scenario. However, it is still good practice to only attempt them when your opponent is low on health. If the technique does not defeat him, the ultimate develops normally and the game continues.
