However, users can still work around this. There are several ways that can be used to turn off the iPhone camera.
1. Enable Silent Button
The easiest way to mute camera sound on iPhone 13, 12, 11, X, 8, 7, 6, SE, or any other model is to press the mute button on the side of your device. Every iPhone model has a ring/mute button on the left side, at the top.
In silent mode, your iPhone won’t ring for calls and other alerts. However, it will vibrate. Most importantly, the iPhone in silent mode prevents camera noise.
2. While recording a video
– The easiest way is that you take pictures/photographs while recording a video. First, open the Camera app. Select Video mode. Touch the red Rec button. Then, touch the shutter button on the side to take a photo.
3. Connecting to Earphones
If you use headphones or earbuds on your iPhone, the shutter sound will be heard only in your earphones. The trick is to simply connect the Lightning slot earphones on your iPhone. Or use a Bluetooth headset.

4. Turn Volume Down
You can turn off the camera sound on your iPhone by turning down the volume on your device. You can do this by pressing the volume button. Of course, before opening the camera app. If the camera application is open, then the volume button will be the shutter.
