Whatsapp phone and video features on new laptops are available for individual calls.
REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Messaging application WhatsApp has long been offering voice and video calls via cellular, iPhone and Android. However, this feature can also be enjoyed on a laptop. To be able to enjoy it, you can use WhatsApp desktop.
Currently, this feature is only available for individual calls. However, WhatsApp says it has plans to include group voice and video calls in the future. All voice and video calls on WhatsApp are encrypted end to end.
Before that, you need to have the latest version of the WhatsApp desktop app available for Windows PC and Mac, an audio and microphone output device, and a camera for video calls. Make sure the internet connection is active on your phone and computer, give permission to the WhatsApp desktop to access the microphone, and camera. It should be noted that WhatsApp desktop calling is only supported on MacOS 10.13 and later and Windows 10 64-bit version 1903 and later.
