Snapchat is a fun way to communicate with your friends and family. You can send photos, videos, GIFs, and you can also add emojis and stickers to your images. If you don’t want to use any of the cookie cutter features that Snapchat has to offer, you can create your sticker using Snapchat’s tools. This is how a sticker is made from your images.
Take a photo
As you know, your photo will be saved to your camera roll. If you want to make things easier, you’ll first need to open your Snapchat account and take a photo by clicking the circle at the bottom center of the app. When taking photos, remember that you can take rear-facing photos or front-facing photos. Head-on photos are often called selfies.
Customizing your sticker
Once you’ve taken the photo, or once you’ve uploaded an image from your camera roll, you’ll see a set of tools. Tap on the scissors icon if you want to make Snapchat stickers.
Now you have to trace the part of the photo with which you intend to create your sticker. It involves working your way around the element to cut it off the screen.
Snapchat will automatically take a copy of the area you’ve outlined and store it with all the other custom stickers in your Snapchat menu. Snapchat allows you to move your new sticker around the screen, allowing you to rotate it, make it smaller, make it larger, etc. To do this, you must make a pinch or spread gesture with your fingers on the screen.
Where to find your stickers
To find the stickers you’ve created, you need to go back to where you first found the scissor icon, which is the main editing screen, and this time you need to tap on the note icon. It will take you to the list of all the stickers you’ve made and Snapchat stickers, and manipulate them on your image.
Within the notes tool, you can search the toolbar for any stickers you’ve created. You can search each one by name. If you want to leave that area, you will need to click on the label icon. The label icon looks like an image of a note and is located at the top right of the screen.
Using recent stickers
If you want to find the stickers you have used recently, you will need to click on the icon that looks like a stopwatch/clock. Snapchat will show all the stickers you have used, from which you have made and from the four tabs (Snapchats stickers).
Stickers available on Snapchat
Snapchat stickers are the default stickers on the platform. They are free to use and there are plenty to choose from. Copyright is not so clear. For example, there is no problem with sharing your Snapchat images (apart from stickers) on social media, but there may be some legal issues if you try to use Snapchat stickers on paid entertainment platforms or apps you have developed.
Below is a picture of a self-made sticker. As you can see, the larger bear has been replicated to create a smaller bear. It almost looks like a smaller bear is sitting next to the larger bear. That’s the magic of the Snapchat custom sticker maker.
Use a Snapchat Bitmoji
To use Snapchat Bitmoji, the platform will ask you to set up an account when you sign up through Snapchat. This feature is free to use and you can use it to customize your Snapchat account avatar. It allows you to look like a cartoon on your Snapchat user icon.
Play around with Snapchat
There are various tools and features that you can play around with on Snapchat. One of the most popular are emojis. They allow you to add icons that speak your mind and feel, or perhaps add a bit of nuance to your posts.
