Finding yourself with bills of stellar amounts can be a significant problem. Now, however, running for cover is fortunately possible.
Being able to meet all expenses in a period like the one we are experiencing in which increases are almost the order of the day and involve practically all sectors is certainly not easy. There are many families who are almost exhausted and do not know how to make ends meet.
Much of the problem is represented by the bills, which reach stellar costs, to the point of becoming almost unsustainable. Being concerned can therefore only be inevitable.
Bills too high: a common problem
The first step to take when the bills have been too high for some time now must consist in try to evaluate alternative solutions with respect to the supplier with whom you have an existing contract. This is possible thanks to the free market, a measure that has not yet definitively entered into force, but which can already be used.
Those who are not satisfied can therefore switch to another manager who considers it more convenient, without the risk of incurring any charges for cancellation. It is not necessary to communicate that you want to end the relationship, the company you decide to join will take care of every aspect of the file.
If you don’t want to make mistakes, you should have a fairly accurate picture of your consumption habitsin order to know which is the most suitable solution.
Here’s what you should do
Ending up with overpriced bills can be a problem, but still not unsolvable. In addition to the change of supplier, in fact, some small changes could be implemented in one’s way of acting which may prove to be providential and not so impossible.
Light has a preponderant role on the bill to payprecisely for this reason it would be first of all important to prefer the LED bulbs: these have a higher cost than halogen ones, but allow savings of around 90% compared to old light bulbs and 70% compared to fluorescent light bulbs (i.e. low consumption ones). Furthermore, keeping the lights on when you are not in a club represents a waste and can help reduce consumption.
Equally important are the applianceswhich are part of our daily life. You should always focus on those with a better energy class: those of new production may require an initial investment, but allow you to spend less in the long run. Class A indicates maximum energy efficiency and is colored bright green. If the devices are not used they should be switched off, for this reason they should not even be left in stand-by (the red light that can be seen on).
You should also bundle all plugs for electrical devices into one power strip with an external switch. Just press that to turn off all the appliances left on standby at the same time.
As indicated in the “decalogue of intelligent consumption” promoted by the Ministry of Economic Development and implemented by ENEA, it is advisable to defrost freezers and refrigerators regularly. This will allow you to lower the amounts in your bills by up to 20%.
If possible, the use of the microwave oven should be preferred over the traditional one, which requires less time. For long cooking, the pressure cooker would be ideal. Finally, steam cooking allows you to prepare several dishes at the same time using a single burner.
