5. Apple cider vinegar

While it may technically be that apple cider vinegar isn’t very convenient to eat right away, adding apple cider vinegar to your diet can be a great way to reduce the effect of food consumed on blood sugar.

A study published in the Diabetes Association American Diabetes Care publication shows that drinking about 20 grams of apple cider vinegar mixture two minutes before consuming a heavy meal or containing carbohydrates can be very effective in stabilizing blood sugar levels.
